FR TIMOTHY RADCLIFFE TO SPEAK ON THE JOY OF THE GOSPEL
Christ the High Priest, Gidea Park, will be hosting a live stream event organised by the Catholic Biblical Association of Great Britain on Saturday 24th October from 11 am.
Fr Timothy Radcliffe OP will speak about the ‘joy of the gospel’. The live stream event can be followed by going to www.ssppilford.org.uk and clicking on live stream remote events. Brentwood Catholic Children's Society - Children and families from Essex and East London have direct therapeutic support to our highly experienced counselling team.  We provide support directly to children, adolescents on a 1:1 basis or the whole family. We help children with various reasons including anxiety, emotional health, bereavement, behaviour, bullying, family separation and illness. Sessions take place during the day or after school at our counselling suites at our offices in Rayleigh.  There is a sessional charge but support may be given if required. If you feel your child may benefit from our services or you would like more information, please contact Sarah D'Lima - sdlima@bccs.or.uk or 01268 947061.

St Joseph’s knitting/crotchet group
We are a small friendly group with varying abilities, so, to help us produce these much needed items for these charities we are looking for more members. 
If you are not into knitting or crotchet but can sew we are in great need of members who can sew together square etc.
You are welcome to pop in to our meetings for a chat and see our work.
We meet Monday afternoon’s once a month. Dates are published in the newsletter.

5th Upminster (St Joseph’s) Rainbows (girls aged 5-6) and Brownies (aged 7-9) are desperately looking for adult helpers and new leaders. We unfortunately will face closure if unable to gain more support.
We meet on a Thursday between 4:55-5:55 (Rainbows) 6-7.30 (Brownies) at St. Peter’s Mass Centre.
If you choose to join us you will receive training and support. You will also have the satisfaction of providing fun and enrichment to children of our community.  If you would like to join us for a meeting to see what it is all about or just to talk about the commitment required, please call Vivian on 07921269948.

Valerie, a friend of a parishioner, makes comfort cushions for women to place under their arm after breast surgery and donates them to the Breast Care Clinic at King George hospital .  At this clinic they are handed out at an average rate of 6 a week.  Valerie relies on donations of material, such as dress and shirt fabric, small remnants (patchwork size welcome), duvet covers, sheets and pillows, curtain and dress lining material, old curtains and blinds.  If you have any material to donate please email Valerie at valerie@amstramgram.co.uk

"PASS IT ON! - Every first Saturday  2-4pm in St Mary Mother of God Parish hall, Hornchurch Road.
